There have been a few important issues come up last minutes for Cobalt Backup.
One of my testers prefers to keep Outlook open while away from the computer. Cobalt cannot backup files that are still in use, so he gets "Incomplete Backup." The fix I've determined for this will be to throw a warning on the screen before an Outlook file is backed up if Outlook is detected open. If after a certain amount of time there is no response, Outlook will automaticly close and the backup will start. This trick may work for other file types and their commonly used applications; although there is no garantee that a Word file is being used by Microsoft Office or by OpenOffice.
The second issue comes with getting incomplete backups or similar alerts and not getting detailed information about what happend. I've nearly completed a log feature that will give specifics about what file failed to backup and other information like when backups completed.
These two issues should be completed before Cobalt goes on sale. I consider these serious problems to address.
If you have any other ideas, problems, etc. Let me know.
